Generex's proprietary platform drug delivery technology, RapidMist™, administers medications directly into the mouth as a metered-dose spray, for rapid absorption by the buccal mucosa.Generex's platform drug delivery technology consists of pharmaceutical agents, a unique proprietary liquid formulation, and the compact RapidMist™ device, which administers the formulation as a metered-dose spray. This technology has been specially designed for the pain-free, accurate, and safe delivery of large-molecule drugs. The first application for the technology is an insulin formulation, Generex Oral-lyn™, that is administered as a fine spray into the buccal cavity. Generex Oral-lyn™ is commercially approved in Ecuador and is in late clinical stages around the world.In August 2003, Generex acquired Antigen Express, Inc. Antigen Express is a platform and product-based company developing proprietary vaccine formulations for large, unmet medical needs. It's focus is on stimulating critical members of the immune response, known as T helper cells.
