Description
Gary Burtch's career path took a turn after one summer job in Milton. Gary was a student at the University of Toronto in math. He was likely heading to be a teacher or accountant when he found out he really enjoyed working outside with his hands. After spending many summers in the Highlands at the family cottage he decided to make the move. Landing a job with another construction company, Gary learned the trade being paired up with a very talented, experienced carpenter. Then in 1985, G.J. Burtch Construction emerged with Gary, Grant Rae and four men. The company grew to 16 full time during the building boom of the late 1980's.
