Foyston, Gordon & Payne Inc. (FGP) was founded in 1980 to provide value-style portfolio management to pension plans, foundations, endowments and high net worth individuals. The firm is jointly owned by its management and AMG Canada Corp. FGP operates autonomously, with FGP management maintaining investment and operational control.

Since our founding in 1980 we at Foyston, Gordon & Payne Inc. (FGP) have been dedicated to helping our high net worth clients preserve their capital and achieve solid returns within a conservative, value-based investment framework.

Many investment companies would like to provide their individual investors with access to institutional money managers such as Foyston, Gordon & Payne. We have entered into agreements with several companies to provide sub-advisory investment services. While our account minimum for High Net Worth Clients is $2 million, through these relationships, the individual investor has access to FGP at much lower minimums, ranging from $1,000 for mutual fund investing, to $100,000 or more for separately managed account programs.

As a firm we have been dedicated to serving the investment needs of private clients since our inception. We pay careful attention to our clients' investment goals and provide a high level of service and responsiveness. We work with each FGP client to develop an Investment Policy and asset mix strategy customized to their specific financial objectives, time horizon, risk sensitivity, cash flow needs, tax considerations and other constraints.
