FONT's Single mode couplers split light from one fiber into two or combine light from two fibers onto one fiber with minimum loss. This feature of single mode couplers, which allows for duplex transmission on single fiber, is highly desirable in fiber optic network maintenance, administration and testing. FONT manufactures three types of single mode couplers namely; narrow band couplers with 30nm bandwidth, wavelength flattened couplers with 80nm bandwidth and wavelength independent couplers with 280nm bandwidth.
FONT also manufactures custom wavelength Single Mode Couplers operating within 800nm to 2000nm range with minimum loss. Coupling ratios within 1/99 to 50/50 are available.
