Acquired in 1986, la Ferme du Domaine is a farming business which has been really flourishing since 1989. Specialised in market garden production, La Ferme du Domaine is a member of the Quebec Produce Marketing Association and a member of the Union des Producteurs Agricoles du Quebec. In 1998, La Ferme du Domaine added another activity to its line of business and opened its doors to farm tourism, to welcome groups of children, students and adults. In 1998, it even was awarded the Mathieu Da Costa excellence prize by the economic development corporation, a tribute to its entrepreneurial spirit aiming at encouraging economic and social progress in the black community.
