FALLine offers a value-added liner shipping service beyond conventional ocean transport, providing a regular westbound maritime service connecting Northern Europe to the industrial heartland of North America. Carrying a mix of steel products, project and breakbulk cargoes, FALLine emphasize flexible scheduling to meet specific customer needs.

These Conditions shall also apply whenever any claim is made against any employee, agent or independent contractor, other than a Third Party, engaged by the Company to perform its role as agent, whether such claims are founded in contract or in tort, and the aggregate liability of the Company and all such persons shall not exceed the limitations of liability in these conditions. For purposes of this Clause the Company acts as agent for all such persons who may ratify such agency at any subsequent time.

A. It is hereby expressly agreed that no person, other than the carrier and the vessel, shall in any circumstances whatsoever be under any liability to the Merchant for any loss, damage or delay of whatsoever kind arising or resulting directly or indirectly from any act, neglect or default on its part while acting in the course of or in connection with the performance of this contract.

Federal Atlantic Lakes Line (FALLine), a division of Fednav International Ltd., has operated a scheduled cargo liner service from Europe to ports along the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence system for more than 50 years.

For the purpose of paragraphs A, B, C and D of this clause, the carrier is or shall be deemed to be acting as agent or trustee on behalf of and for the benefit of all persons defined in paragraph A above and all such persons shall be or be deemed to be parties to this contract for these purposes. The defences and limits of liability provided for in this bill of lading shall apply in any action against the carrier whether the action be founded in contract, bailment, tort or otherwise.
