Description

FRS, works in partnership with the Parks and Recreation department in LaSalle to offer support for a Friday night recreation program for older youth at the Vollmer Recreation Centre. The purpose of this program is to provide a fun evening, which gives a short break to the youth and the family. The program provides opportunity for the youth to participate in sport, recreation and physical activities, assisting them to develop skills and socialize with others. The Parks and Recreation staff run the program and FRS provides support staff to enable the youth to participate in the program.

We are committed to providing fully accessible telephone service to our customers. We will train staff to communicate with customers over the telephone in clear and plain language and to speak clearly and slowly.

I have always had a special place in my heart for children. I started working with children at a very young age because I was one of the oldest cousins in my family. Having a family member with intellectual and physical disabilities has truly opened up my eyes to what I could be doing with many families throughout Windsor-Essex County. My true passion started with that particular family member and has grown to working with many different families over the past five years. As I continue to pursue my dreams and goals the interest of working with children only grows stronger and stronger.
