The Factory Optical group was established in 1983 in Regina, Saskatchewan, operating exclusively as a wholesale manufacturer of prescription lenses for independent Opticians and Optometrists. As the 80’s came to an end, our focus turned to retail with the establishment of our first Factory Optical superstore, on Victoria Avenue in Regina. Present Management acquired the Company in 1999 and has since driven it to 2,100% growth and the establishment of a sister-company in Alberta – Optiks International.

With more than 50 licensed Opticians in Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia, collectively with better than 800 years of optical experience, with many of them having dual licenses to allow them to fit contact lenses, the constant consultation from the team of Optometrists who work alongside us, the 20 huge group of student-Opticians who work for us, our commitment to providing you the very best service possible, we think is evident. Our people are not salespeople. They are optical consultants.
