People seeking counselling come from all walks of life. We provide counselling in English, French, Polish, Spanish, Dutch and Arabic. Counselling in other languages is available using interpreters. Fees based on ability to pay.

As a community, non-profit agency, Family Service Thames Valley believes that it is important for people from the community to become directly involved with the agency and the services we provide. We rely on the help of volunteers from the community to provide governance, for input into decision making, to assist with fundraising and to provide many of the services provided by the agency.

The purpose of the Internship Program is to provide interns with advanced clinical training in couple, family and individual therapy. The program operates from a systemic perspective. The program aims to provide interns with therapeutic skills, an understanding of relevant therapeutic approaches, increased personal self-awareness, and the capacity to consider individual and systemic barriers to health and well being. Although clinical training is the major emphasis the Internship Program is situated within a philosophical framework dedicated to the principles of collaborative supervision and therapeutic practice.

We are dedicated to providing the necessary info, resources and skills to inspire youth to reach out, to get help for themselves or to give help to their friends who may be experiencing tough times.
