Welcome to Exotic Woods Inc. and thank you for your consideration in purchasing some of our products. For over 35 years Exotic Woods has been supplying instrument makers and repair shops around the world with the highest quality materials from our Warehouse located in the city of Burlington, Canada. Our Shipping Department takes great care in preparing and packing your order but in the rare event that your packages arrive in a manner that does not meet your expectations, we’d like you to know a couple of things about our customer service.

Since 1979 Exotic Woods has offered customers high quality custom machining services. Whether it be for musical instruments, kitchens, cabinets or precision patterns, we provide lumber machined to exact specifications.

Exotic Woods was opened for business in 1978 by John (sr.) and Tetje Hordyk. John was a self-employed cabinet-maker at the time, and opened a small shop in Burlington providing fine quality hardwoods, softwoods and veneers from around the world. He also supplied a small selection of high quality hand tools for carving and woodworking. He continued cabinetmaking while providing a planing and cutting service.
