Excalibur Drilling Ltd. was formed as a private Canadian Corporation in 1995. The company owns and operates nine telescopic double drilling rigs and operates primarily in Alberta and western Saskatchewan. Excalibur has constructed nine new rigs since 1995. These rigs are capable of drilling conventional, directional, horizontal and under balanced wells, to a depth of 2500 meters. These rigs are competitive in 850 metre to 2500 metre depth range. Excalibur has since its inception attained rig utilization that is consistently among the highest in the drilling industry. Excalibur has received industry recognition for its safety record in every fiscal year since its inception from the Canadian Association of Drilling Contractors. The management group of Excalibur have been independent contractors for the past seventeen years.
