Our boats are a fusion of the best elements of modern and classic boat design and materials. Their heritage is some of the most sea-worthy small craft ever built. Evolution's hull designs were developed from the famous racing and rescue gigs of the English Channel, from Australian surfboats, and the traditional, beautiful Wherry and Whitehall rowing boats. We have built upon this proven lineage to meet the performance expectations of modern boaters by adapting the lines for construction methods and materials that leading edge boat builders use. The hulls are constructed of a composite of epoxy, marine grade mahogany ply, glass and Kevlar cloth, industrial urethanes and are matched with rowing gear of aluminium and carbon fibre. The results are maintenance free boats of exceptional lightness, beauty and strength. No other hull construction provides such a combination of lightness, strength, longevity and beauty. This union of traditional and leading edge is what gives Evolution's boats their distinction. Evolution's boats exemplify the superior craftsmanship found in traditional boat building.
