From the outset John Evans' goal has been to practise advocacy of the highest calibre in the province. As the firm flourished over the years, he has sought to further that goal by recruiting lawyers who share his vision of the practice of law. In 1994, the firm grew to three lawyers with the addition of Liza Sheard, a seasoned lawyer with several years of practice in Toronto and Hamilton and an interest in developing a speciality in estate litigation. In 2001, Michael Bordin left a local law firm to continue his successful litigation practice with our firm. In 2004, we acquired Alexandra Mayeski from a national firm in Toronto. Shane van Engen joined the firm upon his call to the Bar in 2005 after articling as a clerk for the judges of the Hamilton area. In 2006, we grew to seven lawyers when Andrea Hill joined us after practising in Toronto and, more recently, with another Hamilton firm.
