WE ARE qualified, certified Teachers who replace regular Teachers when they are absent from their classrooms on a daily, short term, or long term basis. WE ARE members of the Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario (ETFO) which represents 65,000 people teaching and working in public elementary schools in Ontario. It is the largest teacher organization in Canada outside of Quebec. WE ARE members of the Durham Occasional Teachers' Local (Durham OT Local) which represents over 650 Occasional Teachers who supply qualified educators and quality education for 2,400 Teachers and 46,000 students in the over 100 worksites in the Durham District School Board.
