Description
Mr. Newman has over 25 years of experience in oilfield services and related industries. Mr. Newman was the Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Essential Energy Services from 2008 to April 2013. Prior to Essential Energy Services, Mr. Newman was the Controller of Builders Energy Services Trust since 2007. Before joining Builders, Mr. Newman built a successful consulting practice providing transaction-based advisory and contract CFO services to clients active in the oilfield service and other sectors across western Canada. Prior thereto, Mr.
Mr. Mowbray has over 20 years of experience in various industries including oil and gas. Prior to joining Essential Energy Services in 2013 he was at SMART Technologies Inc. where held a number of senior financial roles, including Corporate Controller. Prior thereto, Mr. Mowbray was the Corporate Controller of Canetic Resources Trust / Penn West Energy Trust and Builders Energy Services Trust and held a number of financial positions at Agrium Inc. Mr. Mowbray holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta and received his Chartered Accountant designation in 1993.
From an industry perspective, 2013 activity was fairly flat to 2012. The number of wells drilled was flat and completion activity decreased 8%. These are relevant industry activity indicators for Essential. The West Texas Intermediate oil price remained relatively strong for much of the year, but exploration and production (“E&P”) companies in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin continued to be challenged by the oil price differential as takeaway capacity constraints negatively impacted the Western Canadian Select oil price.
Mr. Job has over 25 years of experience in oil and gas and related industries. Prior to Essential Energy Services, Mr. Job was the Vice-President, Operations with Builders Energy Services Trust. Before joining Builders in 2005, Mr. Job was the Planning and Forecasting Manager for Agrium Inc. and held several managerial and finance related positions with NOVA Chemicals, NOVA Gas Transmission, Sabre Petroleum and Ocelot Industries. Mr. Job holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Windsor and a Bachelor of Arts Degree (economics major) from York University. Mr.
