The ESA Mining Services Group are designed to provide electrical expertise to mines and related businesses in order to improve safety and productivity, reduce injuries and help businesses better comply with the codes and regulations that govern them. The Mining Services Group has a global reach and can help your business thrive whether you are in Chile, South Africa, Canada or anywhere else in the world. The Mining Services Group is one arm of The Electrical Safety Authority that provide electrical safety service in a non-regulated enviroment as an advisory service. ESA's regulation business is a not-for-profit company governed by the Electrical Act in the province of Ontario, Canada. They are accountable to a board of directors comprised of members from the electrical industry, the Provincial Government and the public, and although they are not-for-profit, they must maintain financial self-sustainability. It is the regulations group's main duty to inspect work sites for potentially hazardous or faulty electrical outlets and wiring. Using the experience we have gained in the regulated electrical safety environment, we are now able to offer this experience as an advisory service to the Mining Industry. ESA Mining Services personnel have excellent working knowledge of the National Electrical Code, Canadian Electrical Code, the Ontario Electrical Code, M421 and applicable labour regulations.
