Description
" It is the policy of Electrical Contacts Limited to supply the highest quality products, services and support to our customers in their respective markets. We will work to continuously improve our products and processes so that we meet the complete needs and expectations of our internal and external customers in all activities.
ECL uses a unique hot bonding process to produce bimetal or trimetal overlays from which clad contact buttons are produced. Two common techniques are available at ECL to produce clad button contacts. The clad overlay strip is processed in progressive dies to produce the finished button contact, or contact blanks are subsequently formed to their final sizes in a separate operation. Because ECL utilizes both techniques to produce buttons our customers can be assured of sound advice on the design of this style of contact.
A second process is used at ECL as well. The "blank & coin" process relies on two stage processing to provide the finished contact. Contact blanks are produced with multi-punch dies and then coined to the final part dimensions. This processing provides some unique features to a contact that can assist in the economic processing by our customers.
Form rolled contact tapes are produced from bimetal or trimetal clad overlays produced through our unique hot bonding process. The overlay contact strip is first slit and then form rolled. A complete processing line ensures the material is formed to it's dimensions, free of burrs, tension leveled, ultrasonically cleaned and then coiled to our customer's specifications. Traverse wound and single width spooling is available.
