Edward Vint

Description

Bio Born in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada in 1981 to Brian and Jeanette Vint, Edward spent his younger days performing for friends and family whenever the opportunity arose. His love of performing and countless hours playing radio DJ and Director with his cousin Amber instilled the want for more. At Holy Cross Elementary Edward wrote one and directed two plays: Skin, a play concerning the pain of racial prejudice, earned him rave reviews from students and parents alike. Yet acting and scriptwriting weren't Edward's only passions, and so during his three years at St. Thomas Moore Collegiate, he involved himself in student committees where he organized dances, assemblies and rallies. This trend continued into his days at North Delta Secondary where he was elected Co-chair of the Student Council. Along with these efforts, countless hours were spent on acting projects like Fiddler on the Roof, You Can't Take It With You, and the infamous NDSS Improv Team, hugely popular with the student body yet always under fire from administration due its not-so-politically-correct but always original and entertaining spoofs and scenes. Edward's next journey found him immediately after graduation in the Land Down Under for six months of rest and relaxation. But all good things must come to an end, so Edward returned to Vancouver and enrolled in Columbia Academy for Broadcasting. After one year of rewarding study, Edward secured internships and paid positions with MTV, Vicki Gabereau, 104.9 Xfm, and 96.1fm Planet AAJ. Edward, continuing to pursue a career in broadcasting, decided that adding another long-time aspiration to his list of goals would be appropriate. In April 2002, Edward was introduced to Vancouver talent agents Carrie Wheeler and Susan Zonaillo. Within the space of a few months he was accepted as a client of Carrie Wheeler Management and continues as a working client on their roster. In September of 2002 Edward decided he needed a change and took an opportunity to go and visit his sister in Argentina . During his stay he learned much about the culture and loosely wrapped his tongue around the Spanish language. Upon his return, Edward decided to take his acting career to a new level. Recognizing the importance of self-awareness, Edward kept his mind open to much of what the world has to offer and continues to study with Matthew Harrison at the William Davis Centre for Actors Study. He also auditions for mainstream and independent film, television, and theatre work. At present Edward has added another project to portfolio and is currently working on building an entertainment and event production company in Vancouver.
