Jean Edde, the founder of Edde Almond Paste Inc., has been in the bakery industry since 1968. He started with a chain of bakery and pastry shops and was buying Almond Paste from Europe. Realizing that Almond Paste was not manufactured in Canada, he decided in 1989 to open the first factory in Canada to manufacture Almond Paste.
