SODECM is a "think tank plus". We believe that effective community organization which also aims at urban reform must have an approach which overcomes isolation or fragmentation. This fragmentation results when consistent efforts at outreach do not incorporate a substantial perspective on the environment, governance, the economy and community. Therefore we have made it our priority to continuously emphasize the need for an overview, for a global approach, for an ecological perspective which in an ongoing manner relates the parts to the whole and our overall goals to concrete community development.
