Ecofish is a leader in modeling instream flow. Our team of hydrologists, biologists, and modelers confidently predict flow alteration related to water diversion or extraction for a variety of sectors including agriculture, energy and mining. Ecofish has experience using innovative techniques to measure stream discharge including salt and dye dilutions. Ecofish also monitors and assesses water temperature and water quality.

Ecofish has worked with many Independent Power Producers over the years in numerous areas of the province. We have helped these clients with environmental assessments and permitting, planning and feasibility and long term monitoring.

Innergex Renewable Energy’s Ashlu Creek Hydro Project was recently highlighted in a Clean Energy Canada article titled “Power in the Pipe: Inside a British Columbia Run-of-River Hydro Plant.” The article highlights details on the project and an inside perspective from Matt Kennedy, Innergex’s VP of Environment for the Western Region. Ecofish has worked with Innergex on this project since 2010 providing technical support and delivering the long-term monitoring program.
