In 1985, I moved to Victoria from the community of Kimberley, B.C. to pursue an electrical engineering degree at the University of Victoria. Prior to entering the financial services industry in 2006, I enjoyed a successful career in the technology sector with Power Measurement, a local technology firm. As an elected director of the company's Employee Venture Capital Corporation, I looked after the ownership interests of employees who held shares in the company.
