In 2001, Digital Digs owner Jim Nickel was building a new home. His search for a company to provide him with smart home features left him without an affordable solution. Convinced that affordable home automation was possible, he undertook a vast amount of research and became a CEDIA-certified professional home automation installer, starting Digital Digs in the process. Digital Digs is also a CEDIA member.
