DigiMap Data Services Inc. is a software, data and consultingservices company specializing in geographic informationservices (GIS) and relational data base management systems
(RDBMS). DigiMap's clients include municipal, provincial andfederal government departments as well as "Fortune 500"
private sector firms. DigiMap products include digital mapfiles, digital data files, desktop mapping software, and GIS
application modules.

Desktop mapping software combines map graphics and analysiscapabilities with a relational data base for the geocoding,
display, manipulation, analysis, presentation and output ofmaps and map related data, and for the analysis ofgeographically-referenced data files. The desktop mappingsoftware supplied by DigiMap is MapInfo, which is the leadingsoftware in this field. MapInfo software runs on IBM PC's andcompatibles, Apple MacIntosh, SUN SPARC stations and
Hewlett-Packard (HP) workstations. MapInfo is the price andperformance leader in the desktop mapping/GIS marketplace.
The combination of low cost and compatibility makes itpractical to put GIS on the desk of every analyst andknowledge worker in any organization. It also makes itpractical as a support tool for many clerical workers whosework involves the query or manipulation of map-related ormap-referenced data. Because the software has a well-designeduser interface, the training required is kept to a minimum,
making it practical for anyone to learn and use.

DigiMap also markets a full suite of digital maps. These mapsare configured to run under MapInfo, but other map formats
(such as AutoCAD (dxf, dwg), ArcExport/Arcview, Integraph
(dgn)) are available upon request. Maps available include street maps with street names and street address ranges for eachstreet segment. A large variety of boundary file maps arealso available including postal code zones, census tracts, andgeo-political zones. DigiMap markets a series of maps basedon the Topographic maps from Geomatics Canada's 1:50,000 and
1:250,000 scale series, the National Atlas Information
Service 1:2,000,000 and 1:7,500,000 scale series, and Ontario's
1:10,000 base maps. Macro level maps are available for provinces, states and countries. DigiMap also has available georeferenced Rand McNally raster format maps and postal code point files. Custom mapping pricing can be quoted upon request.

DigiMap markets demographic data from Statistics Canada basedon the 1991 Census, which is available at the enumeration area
(EA), census tract (CT), census subdivision (CSD) and forwardsortation area (FSA) levels.

DigiMap's consulting services span the range of geographicinformation services, data base management systems, decisionsupport systems, management information systems and generalmanagement consulting.
