Unit consists of three (3) stages. 1) Bi-directional accumulation zone: This zone consists of a wide modular belt conveyor section that travels in a reverse direction when filling and a forward direction when emptying. The length of zone is configurable to allow for varying degrees of accumulation. 2) Metering: This 5’ lg. zone meters product from the accumulation zone to the discharge end of the silo. 3) Incline: This flighted incline conveyor accepts containers from the metering section and delivers to the downstream unscrambler at the desired elevation.

With the current popularity of energy drinks, Descon has been called upon to design and install multiple empty can handling systems. Regardless of whether you are running a fixed can diameter, or multiple can diameters, Descon has the experience to deliver. Our solution involves the supply of mass modular belt style conveyors using nose-over type transfers for the majority of can transportation. Just prior to the filler infeed, we add mass vacuum style transfers for down (or damaged) can removal, air combiners and ionized air rinsers.
