JORDAHL ® Anchor Channels are manufactured by Deutsche Kahneisen GmbH in Germany and are exclusively respresented in the United States by Decon ® USA Incorporated and in Canada by Continental Decon ® Incorporated The history of connecting steel to concrete begins with an invention of Julius Kahn, member of a Chicago family of architects, whose "Kahn irons" opened up completely new possibilities for construction with reinforced concrete. In 1913 Anders Jordahl, a Norwegian engineer, who introduced Kahn's reinforcing technology in Germany, developed the Anchor Channel by designing a C-shaped profile which was used as reinforcement and connection device at the same time. Today, with a century of experience in anchoring and connection technology "Deutsche Kahneisen Gmbh" with its brand name JORDAHL ® has developed into an internationally renowned company and a leader of research in anchoring technology with a close relationship to its customers. In 2009, Decon ® joined in partnership with JORDAHL ® to market and sell JORDAHL ® Anchor Channels in North America. Decon ® has 20 years experience as the innovator of the Decon ® Studrails ® and 50 years experience as a manufacturer of a full line of stud-weldable fasteners, including headed concrete anchors and shear connectors. JORDAHL ® has over 100 years experience in anchoring technology. Together both companies offer many years of experience in providing well known quality products and technical support.
