Originally formed in 1993, DECA Aviation was created to provide engineering services for the aviation market, with a special emphasis on support of the certification requirements in the civilian sector of the industry. Founded by Mr. Robert Foster, the company first opened for business in the historical hangars operated by Millardair, at 2450 Derry Road, at the north end of Toronto's Pearson International Airport. Within one-and-a-half years, the company had expanded and moved to its present office facilities at 1804 Alstep Drive in the Derry and Dixie area in Mississauga. In the early days, customers were referred to us by word of mouth, and a good customer base was built up rapidly. Delegation of authority from Transport Canada for Design Approval Representatives was granted early in 1993; this allowed DECA Aviation to provide fast responses to requests for aeronautical design approvals...
