Located centrally in Prince Edward Island, the Davison Funeral Home & Chapel (1979) Ltd. is independently owned and operated by Ira M. Moase and his wife Judy. Working with them is their son-in-law, John W. MacIsaac. The funeral home was designed to create a quiet and warm atmosphere. The air conditioned funeral home is wheelchair accessible and offers three spacious visitation rooms, a large foyer, lounge and a comfortable spacious chapel. There is ample parking for visitors and is located in a quiet residential area. The funeral home offers a large variety of funerals and services to meet everyone's needs. The Davison Funeral Home was founded in 1935, by Joseph L. Davison (1901-1991) who operated the funeral home in a location on the main street of Kensington. Hillard Woodside became employed with the firm and continued to work with Mr. Davison until July of 1979 when the funeral home was sold to Ira M. Moase. Mr. Woodside continued to work at the funeral home until his retirement in 1980 where he continued to work part time until his death in October 30, 1989.
