David R. Maracle

Description

David R. Maracle was born the sixth son for Andrew C. Maracle Sr. (Mohawk) and Lillian J. Maracle (Scottish) BRUCE CLAN. His childhood consisted of many happy memories of traveling with his Mom and Dad to different Native communities. This allowed David to have a rich understanding and appreciation for his Native Heritage. Sitting and listening to Elders has been a great inspiration in David's life. He attributes many of his ideas to conversations with his father, a respected Elder who was an international speaker on Native issues. David, like his father, chose the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory to be his home.
