The Company Friedrich Leutert GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1941 by Friedrich Leutert, a watchmaker by trade, and a gifted engineer. Most of the early instruments for the oil and gas industry, and chronometers as well as navigational instruments for the shipping industry were designed by him. He quickly established the company as a major provider of subsurface and surface instruments mainly for the upstream oil and gas industry in Europe.

DataCan is a distributor and manufacturer of high performance pressure and temperature gauges for use in the oil and gas industry. We specialize in downhole tools for extreme environments.

Leutert has been manufacturing bottom hole samplers since the early 1950s. Our latest product, the Bottom Hole Positive Displacement Sampler, has found universal acceptance and success in worldwide oilfield locations. The PDS system provides clients with representative samples of well fluids which can be transferred on location to the sample bottle without the use of mercury. The samples, when analysed, may provide data vital to the economic and technical evaluation of the reservoir.
