Our history reads more like "which way book" than anything else. The most exciting thing about starting a company and evolving it is; nothing stays the same. The business was started by Thomas Elwell after 4 years at the helm of a moderately successful online grocery and home delivery business. It didn't take to long for the storeatyourdoor.com team to realize they were a fulfillment and delivery company, not an internet company selling groceries. Thus Mr. Elwell believed that to be successful in any e-commerce (retailing) endeavor, focus should be on logistics and usability, not a pretty web site.
