Dr. Bishop has served as CEO of the OPKO Renal Division since it was formed from OPKO’s acquisition of Cytochroma Inc. on March 4, 2013. Dr. Bishop had served as President & CEO of Cytochroma since June 2006, bringing a wealth of manageme nt experience in the pharmaceutical industry across multiple disciplines including Research & De velopment, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, and Business Development. Dr. Bishop co-founded Proventiv Therapeutics, LLC in September 2005 where he served as President.

Dr. Cunningham is recognized internationally for his work in nephrology, renal and transplant medicine and general medicine. He has extensive experience in the fields of hypertension, renal stone disease, acute and chronic kidney disease, renal transplantation and dialysis, and metabolic bone disease. An Oxford University graduate and appointed Commander of the Royal Victorian Order (CVO), Dr. Cunningham has participated in an array of postgraduate clinical and research appointments in Oxford, London and in the U.S.
Dr. Strugnell has extensive experience in the research and development of new vitamin D drugs for CKD patients with vitamin D insufficiency. Prior to OPKO, he was Associate Scientific Director at Genzyme Renal and Associate Director of Preclinical Research at Bone Care International where he managed research supporting Hectorol®, the first modern vitamin D product approved in the US for SHPT in pre-dialysis patients. Dr. Strugnell received his PhD degree from Queens University under the direction of Dr.
Mr. McCarty joined Cytochroma in October 2008 as Executive Director of Manufacturing Operations and retained that position in the subsequently formed OPKO Renal Division. He brings an established track record in the pharmaceutical industry and in contract manufacturing operations. He has more than 30 years of experience in manufacturing operations in both sterile and non-sterile products as well as in business development, new product introductions, technology transfer and compliance.
