About
CSI is a 501(c)(3) all-volunteer, non-profit conservation, education, and research organization dedicated to protecting cetaceans—whales, dolphins, and porpoises—and their marine habitats. Founded in 1974, the organization has a long history of advocacy, public engagement, and habitat preservation, including the iconic 'Conny' whale sculpture. CSI conducts global conferences, educational outreach, and volunteer-driven initiatives to promote cetacean welfare and marine conservation worldwide.
