Dear Mayor, I am writing to provide an update on the implementation of the New Building Canada Plan (NBCP) – the largest and longest federal infrastructure plan in Canadian history.

Durnie September 2010 As President of the Canadian Public Works Association (CPWA), it is my honour to represent over 2,000 Canadian members of APWA, who are public works practitioners in both the public and private sectors. As an association it is our main mission to be ’The Voice of Public Works’ from coast to coast to coast.
The Canadian Public Works Association (CPWA) was founded in 1986 to enhance the services of the American Public Works Association to the Canadian public works community and to improve the quality of public works products and services to Canadian citizens. Since 1986, CPWA has become “the voice of public works in Canada”. CPWA is an organization of public works professionals in Canada who are members of APWA; any individual, agency or corporation in Canada with an interest in public works and infrastructure issues can become a member of CPWA by simply joining APWA.
The Honourable Greg Selinger, Premier of Manitoba, has once again proclaimed National Public Works Week in May of 2014.
