TRIDÔME CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION have completed major construction work for the expansion of the IKEA Montreal store.
This work involves the complete demolition of an existing
100,000 sq.ft. building (adjacent to IKEA) for the new parking extension, new extensions on three (3) locations of the existing building for a total of 75,000 sq. ft., plus a total interior renovation and modification to the existing building of 196,000 sq. ft. The total cost of the project is in excess of $ 15 million. All the work will be executed while the existing personnel continue to work and all Sales Operations will be maintained.

During the construction of the Montreal store, and respecting the professionalism and quality with which TRIDÔME worked, IKEA decided to also give us the Turn Key construction (including the responsibility for the coordination of the plans and specifications of the architectural and structural work and the mechanical electrical and sprinkler work on a Design Build basis) on their Brossard warehouse. This project was an expansion of their existing warehouse of 417,000 sq.ft. by an additional 425,000 sq.ft. (40 ft clear height over 2/3 of its surface and 30 ft clear height over the balance. Naturally, all the public services and circulation areas are being rebuilt over the total area of the site of 1,350,000 sq.ft. This project will be built at an approximate cost of $ 22 million. All the work will be performed while the personnel continue to work in the existing warehouse.

Continuing our excellent relationship with IKEA, we have completed the renovations for the implantation of its future Call Center which will occupy 25,000 sq.ft. in the previous Idomo location. The installation of the computer cabling and all telecommunications network is an extremely complex task as this space will permit 200 operators to respond to the requests and telephone orders of the clientele from this
Swedish multinational.

And last but certainly not least, TRIDÔME has, once again, been chosen by IKEA to assume the responsibility of their third major project in the Montreal area. TRIDÔME has just started the construction of this Swedish multinational’s new mega store of 325,000 sq.ft. in Boucherville, on the South Shore of Montreal. This project will be built at an approximate cost of $ 30 million.

In the hotel sector, for the C.P. Hotels, and in particular the
QUEEN ELIZABETH HOTEL, TRIDÔME has completed the demolition, renovation and relocation of various offices, hotel rooms and 3 conference centers, all spread over three floors of the hotel.
We have also renovated and expanded the ground floor famous "LE
MONTRÉALAIS" restaurant at the same time. In addition, we have also built the new ex-FURAMA HOTEL (presently DAYS INN) on René-
Lévesque Boulevard.

In the commercial sector, for the WESTCLIFF GROUP,
TRIDÔME did the major renovation for PLACE DU CENTRE (Hull) and
LES GALERIES DE GRANBY (Granby) as well for FIRST PROFESSIONAL
MANAGEMENT, we have built the BERRYFIELD SHOPPING CENTER leased to REITMANS, YELLOW SHOE, DOLLARAMA, CLAIRE-FRANCE and MARIE-
CLAIRE. We are just the work on a NAUTILUS PLUS HEALTH CLUB on
Ste-Catherine Street and are performing, for MONIT
INTERNATIONAL, the renovations to a 12-storey loft building on
Maisonneuve Boulevard.

HARTCO ENTERPRISES entrusted us with the construction of 40,000 sq. ft. office (new) and 65,000 sq. ft. warehouse (new and renovated), as well as the renovations and/or additions to 25 department stores (20 in Quebec, 2 in Nova Scotia and 3 in
Newfoundland) in various shopping malls (all completed within a
4 month total time frame).

In the retail sales trade, TRIDÔME completed a new flagship 3 storey-free standing store for ROSSY INC.; built 2 new CHÂTEAU stores in Quebec Malls, as well as the new H.M.V. MEGASTORE in
Downtown Montreal. We also executed the work involving simultaneous construction to remove and replace the entire façade as well as major interior office works for GENERAL MOTORS on the Trans-Canada Highway, and completed rental improvements for the head office in Quebec for DIGITAL EQUIPMENT INC.

In the private institutional sector, we have completed the construction of BETH OLAM LEVAYAH funeral home for SERVICE CORPS
INTERNATIONAL (Houston, Texas). Also, we built the 10-storey renovation and expansion for VILLA MEDICA HOSPITAL, the geriatric-care MAIMONIDES HOSPITAL, and the major renovation and expansion of the SHRINERS HOSPITAL, the SHAARE ZION SYNAGOGUE and the TEMPLE EMMANUE-EL BETH SHALOM.

In the food sector, TRIDÔME has completed with success and ahead of schedule, the expansion for IGA (Sainte-Rose), the new SUPER
IGA store and an adjacent small shopping center (Sainte-
Therese), the SUPER IGA (Châteauguay) for SOBEY’S, and the MAXI
STORE (Beloeil) for PROVIGO.

In the industrial construction sector, we are presently performing the second major extension of 30,000 sq.ft. at the factory for ALLIANCE STEEL. TRIDÔME have also built a pilot plant for magnesium production MAGNOLA (Noranda Mines); an extension of DOMINION METAL AND REFINING WORKS; and the expansions of the warehouse and offices of ALLIANCE STEEL,
GILDAN INDUSTRIES and JEMDYE INDUSTRIES. Amongst others, TRIDÔME has also just completed the demolition and reconstruction of several offices and related works to a pneumatic conveyor for
BOMBARDIER
