Contact North/Contact Nord is a not-for-profit corporation that is Canada's largest distance education network providing access for Northern Ontario residents to educational and training opportunities. Headquartered in Thunder Bay and Sudbury, Contact North/Contact Nord’s leading edge communications network is utilized by a growing number of educational institutions, non-profit organizations, private sector companies and municipal, provincial and federal government departments. The organization has Access Centres serving more than 100 communities distributed over 800,000 square kilometers in Northern Ontario.

To meet the needs of learning communities, Contact North/Contact Nord’s Network is equipped with a range of technologies including combinations of audioconferencing, audiographics, videoconferencing, e-learning via internet access, computers, document cameras, scan converters, printers, facsimile machines, audio and video recorders.
