About buildingSMART Canada: Initiated and run by the Institute for BIM in Canada (IBC), the Canadian chapter of buildingSMART International has been established to provide the appropriate body and home for Canadian BIM Standards Development through participation in the development of international BIM standards as the voice of the Canadian marketplace and to promote the awareness of buildingSMART International (bSI) within Canada. Both IBC and bSC share the common goal of supporting the implementation of BIM in a way and at a pace that enables industry to successfully achieve improvements in project delivery and lifecycle management of the built environment, including infrastructure.
