Description

Dan serves as the member relations specialist, providing information and member services. He directed Woodbine Ranch in Colorado for 24 years, and was the Rocky Mountain section president. Previously, he was in church ministry, working with youth and Christian education, and serving as a pastor. He is a graduate of Westmont College and Denver Seminary. Dan and his wife, Sherry, have two grown children; one is a missionary in South America and the other teaches chemistry at Westmont College.

Wood burning rule prompts backlash “A federal proposal to clean up the smoke wafting from wood-burning stoves has sparked a backlash from some rural residents, lawmakers and manufacturers who fear it could close the damper on one of the oldest ways of warming homes on cold winter days,” ABC News reported on February 23. New restrictions by the Environmental Protection Agency require that wood-burning stoves emit no more than 12 micrograms of fine airborne particulate per cubic meter, a drop from the previous limit of 15 micrograms.
