Description

Physiotherapists use their extensive knowledge in how the body works to treat individuals with various conditions. They use joint mobilization techniques, exercises, and physical modalities to restore joint mobility and physical function. Common modalities used include ultrasound, muscle stimulation, and electric stimulation. Physiotherapists treat conditions associated with sports injuries, neck and back pain, arthritis, sciatica, motor vehicle accidents, work injuries, tendonitis, and neurological pathologies. Research has shown physiotherapy to be effective in decreasing pain, improving mobility, and increasing strength and function. Physiotherapists must complete a university degree in physiotherapy and become registered with the Ontario College of Physiotherapists. Trajan Peric, Registered Physiotherapist Trajan is the co-owner of the clinic and has been practicing physiotherapy since 2002. He has been treating a wide variety of conditions in a private practice setting since graduating with a strong emphasis on neck, back and sports injuries. He uses his extensive training in post-graduate manual therapy to help restore joint, neural and muscle mobility. Trajan believes in individualized physiotherapy treatments to ensure clients' concerns are properly addressed and thorough client specific interventions are performed. Trajan has completed degrees at the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Science with High Distinction in Biochemistry and Biological Sciences in 1999 and a Bachelors of Science in Physiotherapy in 2002. Massage Therapy is a direct mobilization of the body's soft tissue. While massage therapy does have a relaxing effect it also provides relief from an array of conditions including arthritis, back pain, headaches, sports injuries, fibromyalgia, tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome and more.
