Description

Founded in 1749, Halifax is the birthplace of English Canada and the very core of the Halifax experience is its famous Central Commons. Laid out by His Majesty's Imperial Surveyors, the Central Commons was designed to be a literal landmark - with Robie Street, its northern edge, marking True North so the Commons could form the 'Rose' for a Provincial Compass of highways and routings. All four major highways converge at Robie and Chebucto-Cunard at the Central Commons' edge.

The Inn's roof-top patio is a perfect place to relax after a day of sight-seeing and/or business meetings. Our Inn attracts many guests from the artistic community, nationally and internationally - singers, recording producers, painters, writers and photographers. Your breakfast conversation will definitely be interesting. Come join us and share our pleasure and pride in this exciting and historical city. The Commons Inn has a No Smoking Policy in all rooms. We have someone at the Front Desk around the clock. Each room includes cable TV, telephone and clock radio. Our standard rooms include a 3 piece ensuite with shower. Our Deluxe rooms have a full 4 piece bath, are slightly larger, and most come with microwave and fridge. There are two roof top patios for your relaxation and tanning. Room Rates range from $85 to $150 per night depending on the time of year. All rates are based on double occupancy. We welcome groups for reunions, weddings, tours, etc and would be pleased to provide a quote in advance.
