We have counsellors who are professionally trained to work with marriages and to understand the dynamics of marriage. Whether you are married, living common-law, dating, or engaged, our counsellors can work with you to strengthen and improve your relationship. We also offer workshops and seminars related to marriage and pre-marriage. Almost all couples enter into marriage with the belief that their lives together will fulfill their deepest longings and dreams. Unfortunately, for many couples, their marriages fall well below their expectations, desires and hopes. Questions arise for these couples as to whether they are truly compatible, truly in love, or whether they were ever truly meant for each other. At Columbia Counselling Associates, we believe there is great hope for marriages like these. Despite the disappointments, hurts and frustrations, we believe that it is possible for couples to be truly successful and satisfied in their marriage. We address a broad range of marital concerns including those related to communication, emotional intimacy, sexual intimacy, sexual dysfunction, extramarital affairs, and healing after the affair. We also offer support and counselling to those involved in abusive marriages and to those in the process of separation and divorce.
