Collision Analysis was established in 1979 by Marshal H. Paulo in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Mr. Paulo began his accident investigation and reconstruction profession with Transport Canada as an on-scene accident investigator and reconstructionist. The on-scene data contributed to the performance evaluation of vehicle safety equipment in real world collisions and recommendations for improvements. He also investigated automobile product defect complaints, some of which resulted in significant recalls within the industry. In the course of his work, he realized there was demand for a forensic consulting firm specializing in the area of automotive collisions and related product defect investigation. So began a most interesting and challenging career. The California office began in 1989; the result of a significant child restraint product failure case against a child seat manufacturer.
