At Cold Springs Farm we are committed to producing the finest turkey and pork products available, and this commitment to quality begins in the field. We grow our own corn, soybeans and wheat (under-seeded with red clover) in crop rotations designed to maintain healthy, productive soil. These crops are harvested and stored in our elevator in Thamesford, Ontario. We also support other local farmers by purchasing additional corn and soybeans to meet our requirements. All of this grain is tested for quality as it arrives at the elevator, and is then processed through our feedmill to create high quality feed for our turkeys and hogs. Cold Springs Farm also grows vegetable crops for human consumption such as sweet corn and peas, under contract with Strathroy Foods. It s possible the next time you have a side dish of vegetables with your club sandwich that Cold Springs Farm played a part in bringing all of these different healthy food products to your table!
