Description
History Co-operative Hail Insurance Company Limited was established in Saskatchewan under the Co-operatives Act in 1947. The company was organized by farmers with the purpose of providing hail insurance protection to producers at cost. In 1951 the company expanded coverage to Manitoba, and has operated in both provinces since that time. To learn more about the organization click here ....more... . Capital Preservation Though the company's primary goal is to provide producers protection at cost, it also ensures protection to its members by maintaining strong capital reserves and protection of those reserves through a re-insurance protection program. With significant annual risk values the re-insurance program provides protection guarantees for payment of claims in severe loss years, but preserves the company's capital reserves needed for a continued strong financial future. Agents Today, Co-op Hail serves virtually all the agricultural regions within Saskatchewan and Manitoba. This is accomplished through our network of over 800 loyal agents, many of whom farm and live in your community and understand your needs. Adjusters Co-operative Hail has over 80 experienced, licensed and contracted adjusters. With a varied background these crop inspectors bring a solid agricultural knowledge base, with strong professional and interpersonal experience. Having the adjusters strategically situated throughout Saskatchewan and Manitoba, allows claims to be dispatched in a timely manner once notification of crop hail damage is received by our office. Our goal is to provide members with fair and skillful adjustments. As such, our adjuster's skills are kept current through a combination of required formal classroom training, practical regional field workshops and of course hands-on experience.
