Description

Seeing my mom suffer and how it affected her life sure got my attention. She tried everything else with no results. It wasn't until she tried chiropractic that she got her life back. I saw first hand what chiropractic did for my mom and was intrigued. Then I came to find out how it simply involves removing interference and allowing the body to heal itself. I knew I wanted to do that for others. I went to the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and was pleasantly surprised by the depth of knowledge that we were required to own.(I can say that now). I see my purpose as helping people of all ages regain their health and show them how to keep it.One of the most gratifying and rewarding aspects of doing what I do is seeing people get back to doing what they love to do. I met my wife while we were both at Acadia University. We have three very active kids. There is no greater joy for me than participating in my kids sports and activities. I exercise 5-6 times per week be it weights, cardiovascular exercise or yoga. I adjust my entire family (even my mother in law) weekly to keep them as healthy as possible and recognize the importance of a healthy diet. Thanks for visiting our site. I look forward to meeting you in person and learning how we may be of service to you. Give our office a call , or email me using the link below and let ’s arrange a time to see if we can help. After many years of playing competitive sports as a child and teenager, I began suffering from back pain around age 15. At that time, I explored several healthcare options without success. By age 17, because of my back I was told that if I played university volleyball I would not be able to walk by the time I turned 30. That is when I decided to try Chiropractic care. The treatment I received allowed me to play varsity volleyball for Dalhousie and I ’m happy to say that I have passed the 30 year mark with no back pain thanks to Chiropractic and a healthy lifestyle. Quite simply, I chose to become a Chiropractor because of the significant impact Chiropractic care had on not only my back pain, but my overall health. Dr Doug Penrose was the Chiropractor who treated me in my teenage years and it was his passion that also inspired me to become a Chiropractor. I graduated from Dalhousie University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and have since graduated with clinic honours from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC). While at CMCC, I became very interested in female health, nutrition and pediatrics and became the Co-President of the Pediatrics Club as well as obtaining the Certificate of Proficiency in the Webster Technique which is used specifically for pregnant women (http://icpa4kids.com/about/webster_technique.htm). I am a lifelong learner, and continue to further my knowledge by attending various courses and seminars. Whether you are a stay-at-home Mom, office worker, amateur or competitive athlete, I enjoy helping all patients achieve their health goals and treat according to each individuals particular health needs.
