CitySpaces is a leading provider of development consulting, community planning, and consultation services in communities throughout Western Canada. Founded in 1986, we have long been committed to “building lasting, livable communities”, with an enduring emphasis on social sustainability.

Camosun College hired CitySpaces as experienced project managers to implement the Trades Facility Renewal Project at its Interurban Campus. The project has now taken the form of the Camosun College Centre for Trades and Education and Innovation. This entirety of the work includes approximately 80,000 sf of new building floor area, the demolition and renovation of existing buildings, and associated site and servicing works. CitySpaces is providing project management services of planning, budgeting and financial control, construction, and completion phases, over an estimated 30-month timeline.

Working with urban and rural communities of all sizes is the backbone of community planning. Our projects have included legislatively-required plans, as well as policy and strategic plans, as well as regulatory bylaws that are adopted by a Council or Board. We also provide regular or ongoing advice to smaller municipalities who require assistance in reviewing subdivision and rezoning applications.

Master planning involves working with several land owners to develop a land use and servicing plan. This includes coordinating planners, geotechnical, civic and transportation engineers, and landscape architects, and undertaking environmental assessments, feasibility studies and community amenities assessments. These are complex, multi-year processes, always involving extensive community consultation.
