Belmont, ON—Local 53 members employed by Belmont-based Graceview Enterprises voted to accept a settlement for a new three-year contract with unanimous support. The new agreement provides them with annual wage increases associated to inflation as determined by the Consumer Price Index (CPI). Other provisions include annual adjustments to mileage reimbursement, travel pay, vacation pay, and pension. Improvement was also made to employer contributions for employee health and safety training and skill training. “I am pleased that we were able to work together with management to provide for our members, both now and in the future,” says Roger Grootenboer, CLAC Ontario representative. “This settlement enables the company to remain competitive and source steady work for its employees.
