The Beausoleil First Nation Lands Department is dedicated to the membership of Beausoleil First Nation, present and future. We will respect our lands and environment by assisting our members with all aspects to land. We will do so by providing the highest quality of service using the most effective lands management practices while maintaining and respecting the vision of our community.

We have been directed to amend the Listing of Contractors to allow only those contractors who have valid WSIB coverage as evidenced by a clearance certificate. We are encouraging all contractors to provide proof of coverage in order for their company names to be placed on the new Listing of Contractors. Further, you will have to provide proof of coverage each time you are contracted to do work for lessees. Failure to provide a Clearance Certificate will result in building permits not being approved.

The bottom line in our business is measured by the prevention and reduction of loss of life, pain and suffering, and property damage that we have in our service. We are here and prepared for one reason and that is to provide service to the residents of our communities.

Beausoleil Broadband is a corporation operated through Beausoleil First Nation. The company was incorporated in November 2011 working in partnership with Point to Point Broadband located in Barrie, Ontario. The following month in December 2011 6 BFN staff members were bought in as "pilot" customers. By January 2012, Beausoleil Broadband Inc. reached its initial goal of 70 customers. To-date, the customer base has almost doubled, with coverage from the village to Lighthouse Point, Monague Point, and Cedar Point.

Marcella has been employed with the Housing Department since July 2009 but has had experience in the Housing Department before on a one year contract in 2004. Marcella brings with her a wide range of experience as well as previous job specific training through BMC File Management Inc.
