Description

Sandra is a registered clinical counsellor and educator whose private practice near Vancouver , British Columbia integrates equine guided development with emotional intelligence , authentic leadership , team building and the arts . Sandra also acts as a teacher of gifted students and a school counsellor in the Coquitlam District. There, she coordinates innovative programs inviting children and youth to explore their relationships with self and others, through the eyes and the heart of the horse. Sandra's clients range from middle school students to Microsoft executives. Her years of equine training, in addition to her bachelor's degrees in science and education, her master's degree in counselling psychology, and her post-graduate training in expressive therapies, allow her to bring a wide range of experience and learning to the work. Sandra is also a Roots of Empathy Instructor, an Epona Approved Clinician and she is certified in EMDR . Sandra has been invited to teach workshops and seminars across Canada , the United States and Australia . Most recently, she presented on the healing power of horses at the Body Heals Conference for physicians who practice integrative medicine, joining a list of presenters whose names included Candace Pert, David Suzuki and Norm Shealy.
