Our mission at Children's Garden Junior School is to foster independence, self-confidence, and the love of higher learning through a sound academic curriculum, while we encourage co-operation, respect for self and others, and an overall social awareness of the world at large. Our children are regarded as individuals within a community and are encouraged to work together for mutual enrichment. CGS has become known for its com-mitment to small class sizes (maximum of 15), excellent and ever-expanding curriculum guidelines, unique and evolving specialty programs (French, Music, Art, Drama, Physical Education, Computer Technology), and extremely dedicated teachers. We are a private, co-educational school offering full-day programs from Junior Kindergarten to Grade Six. (At the Kindergarten level, half-day programs are also available.) All programs operate within certain guidelines, but are then individualized to ensure that each child is given the opportunity to maximize his or her potential. CGS functions in the true spirit of a family a home away from home where our children can feel happy, safe and secure. Since we believe the home experience and the school experience should not be isolated from one another, we actively encourage open communication and co-operative exchange between the two.
